Greenlands

July 2021

This tired and neglected 1950’s detached home occupies an enviable position overlooking the doomsday village of High Bradfield. Works began with a full soft strip of all internal walls, to take the property back to brick. Walls were drylined, tracked and plastered, a new floorplan was designed to convert the former three bedroom one bathroom home into a spacious four bedroomed, two bathroomed and one cloakroom property fit for a large family, all within the existing footprint.

New kitchen and bathroom suites were installed. All rotted original casements which were leaky and draughty were replaced with Anthracite UPVC casements. New seamless aluminium gutters and rainwater goods systems were installed. New drainage was provided, and Calor gas heating installed, making the old oil fired diesel boiler no longer required.

Externally the surrounding areas were pathed and paved to create a stunning terrace at varying levels to allow the surrounding vistas to be enjoyed, along with the welcome addition of a separate outside toilet for summer party days.
